Kosovo and Albania
This immersive tour offers a unique opportunity to explore the cultural and natural landscapes of Kosovo and Albania, two countries with a shared ethnic heritage and historical ties. Although separated by borders for over a century, the modern-day connection between these countries is stronger than ever, and the similarities and differences between them make for a fascinating experience.

Upon arrival at Pristina Airport, we will transfer to Prizren, one of the most beautiful towns in Kosovo. Here, we’ll explore the charming Stone Bridge, the bustling bazaar, and the Mosque of Sinan Pasha, which was built in 1615. You’ll have the opportunity to wander through cobblestone streets lined with Ottoman-style shops, bars, and restaurants. We will overnight in Prizren.
Prizren is renowned for its arts and crafts, which can be seen throughout its well-preserved old town. The Orthodox Church of “Our Lady of Ljevis” is one of the most significant religious sites, having been listed as a UNESCO World Heritage site in 2006. From there, we head to the Decan Monastery, part of Kosovo’s UNESCO heritage, and the Patriarchate of Peja, a 13th-century complex of churches with remarkable frescoes. We’ll continue to Gjakova, known for its historic old quarter, the 16th-century Hadum Aga Mosque, and picturesque streets. Overnight in Gjakova’s old quarter.
After breakfast, we embark on a scenic drive to Fierza, where we’ll board the ferry to Koman. This two-hour ride on the emerald waters of the artificial lake is framed by towering, rugged mountains. Next, we’ll visit Kruja, the heart of Albanian resistance against the Ottoman Empire, where we explore the Skanderbeg Museum and the vibrant Old Bazaar. Afterward, we continue to Tirana, Albania’s lively capital, for a tour of its key monuments. Overnight in Tirana.
After breakfast, we drive to Berat, a UNESCO World Heritage city known for its remarkable Ottoman-era architecture. We will visit the Berat Castle, still inhabited by locals, and the Onufri Museum, dedicated to the famous 16th-century Albanian icon painter. Afterward, we return to Tirana, where we will explore the National History Museum, a great introduction to Albania’s past and people. In the afternoon, we will take a short walking tour through the center of Tirana. Overnight in Tirana.
Following breakfast, we will travel from Tirana to Pristina along the "Highway of the Nation," which links Albania with Kosovo through spectacular mountain landscapes. In Gracanica, we will visit the beautifully preserved 14th-century Orthodox Church, a UNESCO World Heritage site. We will continue to explore Pristina, visiting the Ethnographic Museum, the stunning Fatih Mosque, and the Çarshia Mosque, built in 1389. Later, we will visit Mother Teresa Square, the Monument of Skanderbeg, the Kosovo Government building, and the "New Born" monument, symbolizing the newly independent state of Kosovo. Overnight in Pristina.
After breakfast, we will visit the Battle of Kosovo monument, commemorating the 1389 battle between the Balkan Alliance and the Ottoman army led by Sultan Murad I. We will also visit the symbolic tomb and monument of Sultan Murad I before continuing to Pristina Airport for the end of the tour.
